Can You Get Tropical Streetwear Inspiration from New York City

Tropical Streetwear Inspiration

Do you think that you can get tropical streetwear inspiration from being in New York City? I didn't think so either, but on a recent trip, I was surprised at how many tropical plants and artwork that I saw during my brief walk in midtown.

It started in Bryant Park by accident. This is such a beautiful park and will always be one of my favorites. It just feels like you're transported back into some bygone era of the early 20th Century. The trees are towering and the plants are always well maintained. I was in New York City for other business not an art inspiration outing.

When near Times Square, I always have to walk through Bryant Park and on this occasion, it was the spark that bought other tropical elements into my sight that day.

At the park, I saw palm plants, and elephant ear plants growing beautifully. These were easily identifiable as tropical plants.

Around the corner from the park, I came across this coffee shop with beautiful tropical art in the window, a tropical smoothie and juice truck and a bank window with palm tree leaves were all nearby.

Yes. You can definitely see tropical inspiration in New York City, during the summer!

(Doesn't an organic tropical drink sound tasty?)

(Palm tree plants on the bank window? How did they know?)

What about you? Do you live in a city that's not an official tropical climate, but you see tropical inspiration all around?  Would love to know!
